High-Fidelity FEA-Based Circuit Simulation for Multi-Active Bridge Converter

This paper proposes a high-fidelity circuit simulation for multi-active bridge (MAB) converter based on finite element analysis (FEA) of the high-frequency multi-winding transformer of the MAB. The proposed simulation method reflects nonlinear properties of a multi-winding transformer with an artificial neural network (ANN). The ANN for simulation model is trained with finite element analysis (FEA) data to capture nonlinear relation from flux linkages to winding current. The proposed method has been validated through comparison between lumped parameter model simulation and experimental result.
