Indonesian Language Learning Application as the Key to Equalizing Educational Development in Indonesia, Especially in Remote, Outermost, and Underdeveloped Areas (3T)

The term 3T refers to regions categorized as remote, outermost, and underdeveloped (terluar, terdepan, tertinggal) in Indonesia, which lags in development compared to the other areas nationally. This study aims to explore the technological possibilities applicable in 3T areas for the process of learning the Indonesian language. This study also seeks to identify the user experience design process and the testing outcomes of a mobile application for learning Indonesian, which incorporates gamification and artificial intelligence translation. This research uses the Design Thinking methodology for designing the prototype and utilizes SEQ (Single Ease Question) and SUS (System Usability Scale) for the testing results. The SEQ task completion results show an average score of 6.03, indicating that the prototype is categorized as easy to use. Additionally, the SUS score results show a value of 78.33, indicating that the usability of the BIINDO prototype is acceptable, nearing the level between good and excellent.
