Research on Model Predictive Control-based Flexible Interconnection Switching Control Strategy

In flexible interconnection systems, the traditional dual closed-loop control structure has limitations when facing complex working conditions. In response to dynamic changes such as load surges or system faults, traditional PI controllers struggle to achieve effective control performance. To address this issue, this study proposes a solution that employs Model Predictive Control (MPC) technology to replace the traditional inner-loop PI controllers. MPC predicts future behavior and optimizes control inputs, reducing the number of controllers, lowering the complexity of parameter tuning and enhancing the system’s adaptability to changes in conditions. With MPC, the control system can dynamically adjust control parameters to adapt to different operating states, thereby improving control performance and the robustness of the system.
