Pioneering Solutions for Advanced Gas Leak Detection in Hazardous Industrial and Mine Environments

In order to improve safety in industrial settings and underground mines, this work introduces a novel gas leak detecting system. The system provides real-time monitoring of dangerous gases like methane, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulfide by combining a number of cutting-edge gas sensors, such as the MiCS-5524, MQ-136, and Winsen MG812. Long-range wireless communication between a central hub and wearable devices is made possible by the inclusion of the SX1278 433 MHz LoRa module, which guarantees workers get prompt notifications in potentially hazardous situations. By using vibration motors and visual indications, the system's customized alert mechanism successfully notifies personnel without depending on loud alarms, which might not be appropriate for restricted places. This study demonstrates the potential of improved gas detection technologies in industrial applications and greatly improves worker safety in hazardous conditions by offering full monitoring capabilities and boosting responsiveness to gas leaks.
