Performance optimization of high altitude humidity sensor based on dynamic calibration and compensation

High-altitude humidity measurement is crucial for weather forecasting, climate change research, and aerospace activities. However, the extreme environmental conditions of the upper atmosphere, including low temperatures, low pressures, and strong radiation, pose significant challenges to the performance of humidity sensors. Therefore, studying the optimization methods for high-altitude humidity sensors under sub-zero temperature conditions is of great importance. This paper focuses on the performance optimization of high-altitude humidity sensors and conducts research based on dynamic calibration and compensation. A humidity dynamic parameter calibration system has been constructed, providing an experimental platform for the dynamic calibration of high-altitude humidity sensors. Correcting models have been established to address the impact of parameters such as temperature and wind speed on high-altitude humidity measurement results, and the models have been verified using sounding test data, improving the response time and data quality of high-altitude humidity measurements. This research will involve the dynamic characteristics of a large number of other types of humidity sensors in the future. Through continuous research and improvement, it will provide more accurate and reliable technical support for high-altitude humidity measurement, which has important theoretical significance and practical value in the fields of meteorological sounding, meteorological observation, and aerospace.
