Research on the off-grid failure mechanism of parallel DC generators

Low-voltage DC power system is a very mature power system for aircraft and parallel operation of DC generators is very common for multi-engine aircraft. The principle of parallel operation and current sharing control of DC generators is analysed. The factors affecting the current sharing of parallel DC generators are given. Combined with the working principle of transistor voltage regulator, the mechanism of additional current fluctuation inherent in parallel DC generator system under the control of transistor voltage regulator is given. Finally, under the help of simulation method, the mechanism of parallel DC generator off-grid failure is given, which is helpful for locating and eliminating the off-grid failure of parallel DC generators system.
