Design and simulation of position control system for CNC linear motion table using PID control

This study provides a comprehensive examination of the control performance of an Improved PID Controller within CNC linear motion table position control systems. The study focuses on evaluating the efficacy of the Improved PID Controller in enhancing position control and its anti-interference ability, and addressing the limitations of traditional PID control, such as slow response to setpoint changes, high overshoot, and steady-state error. The improved PID Controller builds upon the basic principles of the PID controller by incorporating modifications such as adaptive tuning algorithms, feedforward control, and dynamic setpoint weighting to enhance its performance. Through comprehensive simulations, the control function of the Improved PID Controller is analyzed, revealing its ability to regulate position accurately and efficiently. Simulation outcomes illustrate the efficiency of the Improved PID Controller in attaining accurate position control, exhibiting superior performance compared to conventional PID controllers.
