Demonstration Models as a New Way of Educating and Transferring Knowledge About Technology

The current rapid technological development forces education to implement new technologies into teaching programs in order to even better prepare engineers for the new market realities. The use of demonstration models, measurement stations and mock-ups appears as a very effective method of transferring knowledge, due to the advantages resulting from the possibility of interaction with this type of teaching aids. The article presents a set of benefits that result from the use of this type of tactile and visual teaching methods. The basis for the discussion is a case study of a project financed by the European Union conducted by APTIV in 2019–2022 called: “Development of a system ensuring IT security in the electrical-electronic architecture of the next generation of hybrid and electric vehicles.”
