Teaching Component-Based Programming Through Mobile App Development: A Case Study with Managing Audio Graph and UI Integration

Introducing component-based programming to high school students can stimulate their interest in pursuing computer science studies at the university level. In this contribution, we explore the potential of using mobile app development, particularly using the A VFoundation framework, to make this complex topic of component-based programming more accessible and attractive. We describe our preliminary efforts in using this approach with high school students, focusing on the audio graph management and its integration with user interface. This method is currently being evaluated and we discuss its potential benefits and recommend its inclusion in computer science courses.
