The Proposal for Eliminating the Most Common Causes of Air Accidents in Czechia and Slovakia

This paper presents a thorough analysis of the most common causes of air accidents in Czechia and Slovakia in the time period 2018-2022 and comparing these findings with international data to identify effective preventive measures. The study also explores the implementation of global safety plans, specifically those related to air accidents, and emphasizes the importance of national safety strategies such as SPAS, which is already in place in Czechia. It highlights the need for Slovakia to develop a similar strategic safety document. The analysis reveals that the causes of air accidents can be systematically categorized and emphasizes that avoiding the repetition of past mistakes is crucial in civil aviation. This necessitates changes in legislation at both international and national levels, which have already led to modifications in training programs. The paper assesses the effectiveness of recent updates to pilot training programs, particularly the 100 KSA and AUPRT, which aim to enhance pilots' ability to handle unusual or stressful situations and prevent loss of aircraft control. The conclusions underscore the importance of tailoring safety strategies to local conditions to enhance aviation safety. The primary objective of this paper was to develop a draft aviation safety plan for Slovakia that aligns with both regional and global safety standards.
