Performance analysis of a solid-state thermoelectric generator using concentrated solar energy

Long-lasting generators, robustness and reliability are key considerations when designing energy systems. Solar Thermal Electric Generators (STEG) have emerged as an exceptionally robust and low-maintenance solution. In this study, an advanced STEG system developed specifically to demonstrate the concept of a solar electric generator is presented. Integrating a Fresnel lens concentrator and a high-efficiency nickel-phosphorus film, this technology offers exceptionally efficient solar capture. It is a theoretical model validated through practical experiments in the Earth’s atmosphere, with promising results that led the team to carry out tests in simulated conditions. In addition to its technological sophistication, this STEG is distinguished by its reliability and durability. Representing a crucial innovation, this research not only integrates theory and practice, but also offers a reliable source of energy for systems that require reliability.
