Innovative System for Early Detection and Intervention in Developmental Disorders: A Multi-Sensory, Child-Centric Approach

Undiagnosed developmental abnormalities in children can adversely impact their cognitive, motor, and social growth. This research introduces an innovative, child-centered system for early diagnosis and intervention, integrating IoT sensors and machine learning to monitor key developmental areas such as visual processing, motor skills, and cognitive functioning. By leveraging real-time data from wearable sensors, interactive environments, and smart objects, the system provides tailored interventions for each child. Designed for use in medical centers, schools, and homes, it offers scalability, adaptability, and ease of use. Initial trials with children aged 2–6 demonstrate its effectiveness in early detection of developmental delays, enabling timely, personalized interventions. The system empowers caregivers and professionals with actionable insights, improving developmental outcomes and emphasizing the critical role of early diagnosis in mitigating long-term impacts. This study underscores the potential of technology-driven approaches to revolutionize early intervention for developmental disorders.
