Simple Estimation Method of Bistatic RCS for Transmitarray with Tilted Beam

This paper presents a simple estimation method of bistatic RCS of the transmitarray (TA) with tilted beam. In 5G, TA with tilted beam has gained attention. Such a TA with tilted beam is evaluated by the bistatic RCS measurement. However, the measurement setup of Bistatic RCS measurement is normally complicated. This paper proposes simple estimation measurement method of the bistatic RCS of TA by using planar scanning with two waveguide probes. The proposed method can predict bistatic RCS of TA with small space as compared to ordinal bistatic RCS measurement system. The validation of the proposed method is confirmed by the simulation with TA operating at 28 GHz.
