Precision Enhancement in EMC Measurements: Optimizing Multi-Layer Lens for Horn Antenna Applications

This study focuses on advancing precision in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) measurements through the innovative optimization of Horn antenna performance. Utilizing a multi-layer lens with strategically varied radii, the proposed design significantly enhances antenna directivity and sensitivity across a wide frequency spectrum. Beyond addressing challenges in radiated emission and immunity tests, the novel lens configuration demonstrates notable gain improvement. The wideband horn antenna working in the range of 1–18 GHz offers a gain improvement from 7.5–14.65 dBi to 11–23.1 dBi. This work promises to elevate the reliability of EMC measurements, facilitating more accurate assessments and compliance evaluations in diverse electronic systems.
