Compact MIMO Closed-Slot Antennas for 2.4/5/6 GHz Laptops

This paper presents a compact WiFi-7 multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system with six antennas, tailored for laptop integration. Each antenna incorporates a 44 × 2 mm² closed-slot structure with a straightforward T-shaped feeder that achieves half-wavelength and full-wavelength resonances through feed-in coupling. The antennas are arranged in parallel, each spaced 4 mm apart, forming a tight array that eliminates the need for additional isolation elements. This configuration enables dual-band functionality, covering the 2400–2500 MHz and 5150–7125 MHz WiFi-7 bands. Additionally, the radiation efficiency of the array is measured to exceed 64%.
