Reflective Metasurface on Different Position of Fractal Koch Shape

This paper presents the comparison of inward and outward of a fractal shape performance at X-band frequency for Reflecting Intelligent Surface (RIS). The proposed initial reflector is using a square shape and modified with the fractal of inward and outward on the substrate of Rogers RT5880 with a thickness of 0.51mm. The simulated result is shown in the S-parameter graph and the reflection phase. The bandwidth of the proposed reflector is calculated based on the reflection phase results. From the simulation results, the reflector with an inward fractal shape position has a wider bandwidth compare with the outward fractal substrate.
