Horn Antenna With a Paraboloid Reflector for 24 GHz Radar Applications

This paper presents the design and simulation of a pyramidal high-gain horn antenna with a paraboloid reflector operating at 24 GHz specifically for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) radar applications. The proposed design incorporates a paraboloid reflector to enhance the gain and radiation characteristics. Simulations demonstrate that the modified horn antenna achieves a gain of 27.21 dBi, a bandwidth of 2000 MHz, and a sidelobe level (SLL) of −19 dB. These results show the potential of this design for FOD radar applications.
