Pseudo-Scale Model for Air-Freshwater Two-Layer Problem

This paper examines the possibility of applying scale models for electromagnetic fields to the air-freshwater two-layer problem. Since the conductivity of freshwater is small, a conventional scale model can be used. However, in this paper, the possibility of applying the pseudo-scale model, which has been effective for seawater and brackish water problems, is examined through FDTD calculations and tank experiments. It is found that the pseudo-scale model is applicable to the air-freshwater two-layer problem as long as the conducting medium condition is satisfied.
