Development of EMC/EMI Modeling Software for EMC Analysis

This paper presents the graphical user interface (GUI) based software tool to analyze EMI/EMC problems such as crosstalk, PCB radiation and co-channel interference in cellular mobile system. Using crosstalk simulation module of GUI one can predict the crosstalk phenomena of multiple microstrip like structure in a noisy environment in both time and frequency domain. Selecting the PCB radiation module the designer can predict and minimise radiation from a PCB. Co-channel interference can be predicted and minimised by optimization of antenna parameters. In all cases the predicted results are compared with the reported results. Comparison shows satisfactory prediction using the developed software.
