Efficiency Improvement of a BLDC Motor using Fuzzy Control based Seven-Level Inverter Compared with Five-Level Inverter by Varying the Duty Cycle

This study compares how efficiently seven-level and five-level Multilevel inverters (MLI) convert power from DC to AC. Seven and five level MLI is considered and efficiency is analyzed using Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC). A sample size of 14 was determined using Gpower software. The analysis was set up with a power of 0.8 and a significance level of alpha = 0.0001 (p-value less than 0.05) based on SPSS software. From the above analysis, the seven level MLI has gained more efficiency and it is a viable solution for BLDC motor drives compared to seven level MLI topology. Seven-level MLI able to provide greater efficiency under variable operating conditions at a successive rate. For proposed system efficiency is 86.87% and the existing system 47.82% using the FLC controller.
