The synthesis of active RC nth-order transfer functions via a minimal-gain pole and zero relocation scheme

A new active
RC
network synthesis procedure is presented. The realized network suitable for hybrid film fabrication contains the minimum number of capacitors and only four operational amplifiers in an active controller for the synthesis of an
n
th-order voltage-ratio transfer function. The amount of controller gain is minimized by the selection of the optimal feedback and input topology to the
RC
network. The controller and
RC
network are effectively matched thereby eliminating the need for high-impedance buffer amplifiers.
