A Multifunctional Metasurface for Broadband Amplitude and Phase Control in the W-Band

This article proposes a new multifunctional metasurface for controlling the transmission phase and amplitude of incident electromagnetic waves. Different polarization modes are switched to achieve different functions by connecting different branches. At the center frequency of 90GHz, electromagnetic waves can be controlled to achieve beam either deflection, focusing, or multiple beams. Selective transmission of different linearly polarized waves can be achieved within 80-100GHz, and linearly polarized waves can be converted into circularly polarized waves within 80-89GHz.
