A C-Band Low-Profile Miniaturized Antenna Array

This article describes a planar antenna array in C-band, which has the characteristics of low-profile and miniaturization. The antenna array element is designed on the double-sided PCB board with matching circuit structure and the antenna array is composed of four elements with the same structure. The simulation results show that the radiation frequency of the antenna array is 5.91GHz and the gain can reach 4.43dB. Moreover, this antenna array design does not require a separate radiator with a height of $\mathbf{0.01}\boldsymbol{\lambda}$. By changing the capacitance value of the matching circuit, the antenna array elements resonate at different frequencies with good isolation, which can be applied to the transceiver antenna array.
