Design of SSPP Based 3D X-Band Frequency-Selective Structure

In this work, a class of spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) based X-band spatial bandpass filters are designed. In these designed 3D frequency-selective structures, a spatial wave coupling structure is specially designed to implement spatial wave to filter coupling. By combining the high-pass substrate-integrated waveguides with the SSPPs which possesses low-pass characteristics, the spatial bandpass filter is achieved. Two X-band spatial FSS prototypes are designed, and simulation results show that both designs have good filtering characteristics and angle stability.
