Abstract:

The complexity of the urbanization process and the lack of fresh water resources require new approaches to the automation of the water systems. It is universally well understood that water is an essential necessity for growth and the conservation of resources. This paper seeks to establish the design and development of an AWRMS in order to address the shortcoming of the traditional water management. By utilizing data from disparate sensors, such as ultrasonic sensors and water flow sensors, we compute sensor fusion algorithms for the purpose of enhancing the precision of the water level monitoring and leakage detection. The proposed model employs an ESP32 micro controller for data processing and function control, as well as the easy to use mobile application designed using the Blynk app for pump control and monitoring. It uses the development life cycle of system development in selecting hardware, developing software, testing and integrating the whole process. The findings from this study indicate that the AWRMS successfully fulfills water level monitoring, pump control and real time access to information. The AWRMS represents a means of moving toward improved water resource management with possible uses at home, in agriculture, and in industry.
