Discussion on Mechanical ELF Antenna Fields

In this paper, mechanical extreme low frequency (ELF) antenna with rotating permanent magnet is discussed. Theoretically analysis and simulation show that in the near-field region within hundreds of kilometers, the amplitude of velocity field of the ELF antenna is much greater than that of the acceleration field. An ELF antenna, comprising a rotating permanent magnet cube made of NdFeB-N35 with the side length of 50mm, is fabricated and tested. The results verify that, rather than the velocity field, the velocity field is the main carrier for ELF communication.
