Optimization Design of Dense Pulse Transfer Orbit Based on Initial Value of Bezier Function Method

For the two conventional orbital maneuvering modes, the pulse maneuver has a high chemical fuel consumption due to the low specific impulse, while the continuous-action maneuvering track design is more complicated. Considering that the Bezier curve has the characteristics of flexible parameter adjustment and infinite continuity, which is very suitable for the design of the initial orbit, this paper selects the Earth-Mars transfer as the orbital maneuvering task, and proposes a scheme based on the Bezier shape function method to design the initial value of the orbit and apply pulses on a series of discrete points to modify the orbit. This orbit design based on the shape function method can provide a good initial value, greatly reduce the amount of calculation. And as an approximation of continuous thrust, dense pulses have a larger decision space and higher trajectory accuracy compared to conventional maneuvers with fewer pulses, due to the higher density of control forces.
