A Novel Autonomous Decision-Making Model for Multi-Ship Conflict Mitigation

The continuous development of the shipping industry has also made maritime traffic more intensive, and multi-ship conflict scenarios have increased. Especially with the continuous improvement of the intelligence level of ships, how to efficiently mitigate the risks of complex multi-ship conflict scenarios has become an important issue in the field of maritime research. Therefore, this paper proposes an autonomous mitigation decision-making method suitable for multi-ship conflict scenarios at sea. This method identifies potential traffic conflict situations by density clustering of ships, and generates a mitigation strategy set based on a multi-objective global optimization algorithm, ultimately achieving the optimization of multi-ship conflict risks. The model proposed in this paper can provide a guarantee for the navigation safety of ships under complex multi-ship traffic conflicts.
