Energy Efficient Periodic Force Generator with Electromagnetic Drive and its Kinematic Analysis

The paper discusses the problem of designing an energy-efficient device for generating directed mechanical vibrations with an electromagnetic source of excitation force. The main principle used for the device development is t generation of periodic inertia force by a massive unbalance fixed on axis of rotation. The force is initiated by a linear electric motor or by the movement of the core of an electromagnet. The inertia force is applied to the rotation axis of the unbalanced mass. The paper presents diagrams of devices which were built on the proposed principle, their kinematic analysis is performed, possible criteria of their efficiency and application areas are also discussed.
