Exploring Interactive Tools for Education and Online Assessment: A Comparative Analysis

This paper presents a set of interactive tools designed for educational purposes and focusing on online assessment. The tested tools are: Quizizz, Socrative, Google Forms, Edredo, Nearpod, Formative, Mentimeter, Kahoot and Poll Everywhere. A comparative table is drawn up listing the main features, namely: cost, ease of content creation, ease of use by students, and learning outcomes, representing a summary of their main functionalities. The tools are differentiated in terms of functionalities, but the creation of quizzes, polls, surveys and other assessment components is considered essential. Each feature allows the educator to take a different approach to teaching, depending on the specific needs of the students. A discussion on strengths and limitations is carried out, with an emphasis on usability, accessibility, feedback mechanisms and data analysis. The implications of the use of the tools in both face-to-face and remote environments are also analyzed. Again, in this context, accessibility, interactivity, collaboration and real-time response are of crucial importance. By presenting existing research and practical experiences, this paper aims to bring the attention of teachers to the diversity range of available tools and provide information on selecting the most suitable platforms to support effective teaching and assessment practices in today's digital age.
