The Application of Flexible Internet of Things Sensors in the Field of Multienvironment Human Function Monitoring: Using Explainable Artificial Intelligence

The living environment profoundly affects the health of people, with indicators such as temperature, air pressure, air pollution, water pollution, and occupational pollution. These factors can adversely affect the human body and cause health damage. To meet the requirements of multi-environment human function monitoring and environmental adaptability, a research application of a flexible Internet of Things (IoT) sensor with the capabilities of XIA has been proposed in this article. The SOFTCEPTOR flexible fabric strain sensor is selected for its ability to measure various health indicators in multiple environments, including heart rate, respiratory rate, body temperature, and more. The corresponding original motion information is obtained by collecting and exploring the resistance to changes. Comprehensive experiments show that the device has high precision and can fully meet the needs of human function monitoring in multiple environments. By leveraging the benefits of explainable AI and IoT, the proposed model enables improved health outcomes. The self-built test platform records and analyzes the resistance values of different strains (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%), enabling informed decision-making based on the IoT and AI-driven insights. The sensitivity of the strained band increases with the increase of the strain, and the maximum difference in the hysteresis of the resistance change rate of the strained band is about 20%. This research demonstrates the viability and stability of the proposed model, which can be applied in various application areas where there is a need to utilize the advantages of XAI and IoT for monitoring and improving health outcomes.
