Decision-Making in Government Excellence: The Influence of Human Resources Management Practices

The aim of this research is to identify the impact of human resources management practices (planning, hiring, training and performance evaluation) on government excellence at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs in the State of Qatar. Three hundred and fifty-five employees were surveyed through a simple random sample. The analysis is based on the outcomes of the questionnaire survey that was given out to a representative sample of employees at the ministry in question. Researchers hypothesized that there is a significant impact for human resources management practices (planning, hiring, training and performance evaluation) on government excellence at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs in the State of Qatar. The findings revealed that this hypothesis was accepted. Moreover, the results indicated that there is no significant differences relating to the impact of human resources management practices in question on government excellence at the ministry in question due to the demographics (gender, age, qualification and years of experience).
