Agile HRM: A Gamification-Driven Decision Model for Workforce Adaptation and Retention

There are some peculiarities regarding Human Resources Management (HRM) in engineering organisations, including challenges driven by rapid technological advancements, increasing specialisation, and elevated employee turnover rates. The following paper discusses a comprehensive decision model designed to tackle HRM challenges within the engineering atmosphere. The model focuses on recognising and addressing the gaps, increasing work commitment and ensuring the competencies with the latest technological advancements. According to the proposed approach, integrating new methods of gamification techniques in training and development programs, the approach improves skill development of employees and increases organisational workforce performance and employees turnover. Using structured interviews, this study provides practical data-based HRM solutions and satisfactorily fulfills the emerging needs of engineering organisations. The research also made it clear that existing rigid and unadaptable models of HR management hampers the creation of a strong, flexible and modern workforce and presents a guideline for practical approaches of various theoretical concepts the world of technological advancement has imposed on the HRM.
