Innovative Energy Management in Renewable Systems Through the application of Multi-Stage Thermal Energy Storage in Solar Power Plant

This study presents a detailed investigation into thermal energy storage (TES) systems, with a focus on multi-stage phase change materials (PCMs) in concentrated solar power (CSP) plants. The novelty of the research lies in demonstrating how multi-stage PCM configurations can optimize both energy storage and release by capturing a broader temperature range, enhancing the efficiency and dispatchability of renewable energy systems. By addressing the interplay between natural convection and heat transfer mechanisms in PCM arrangements, the paper offers insights into improving TES performance. This work is significant for future renewable energy applications, particularly for stabilizing grids and increasing the reliability of solar power integration.
