Multi-Focal Holographic Imaging Using a LCoS Display with Adaptive-Compensation

Gerchberg-Saxton (GS) algorithm show limited image quality when reconstructing multi-plane holograms due to the interference between adjacent focal planes. In this paper, adaptive compensation Gerchberg-Saxton (ACGS) algorithm is proposed to construct multi-focal plane computer-generated holograms (CGHs) by adaptively adjusts the weight factor of the constraint function in each iteration to optimize the final phase distribution. Simulation and experimental results show that SSIM and RMSE are improved by more than 30% and 50% respectively.
