This chapter explores the emerging field of quantum blockchain by examining foundational concepts in quantum computing, communication, and cryptography. It discusses how quantum blockchain leverages principles of quantum mechanics to solve distributed systems' trilemma. A Quantum Proof of Vote (Q‐PoV) consensus protocol is presented. The chapter also analyzes advantages of quantum blockchain in achieving greater scalability through a quantum Internet infrastructure along with a Quantum Multi‐Identifier Network (Q‐MIN) architecture. This includes exploring a quantum router and future prospects. The chapter aims to showcase how quantum blockchain sets a new paradigm for secure and efficient information transmission beyond capabilities of traditional technologies.
