Determination of HVAC System's Optimal Feedback Location and Controller Setup with Software Model

In this article, a model of the HVAC system in the service room of a nuclear industrial facility is presented. Two engineering problems have been studied with the heat conduction and flow model. One is that the optimal location of the HVAC system thermostat, what place was determined from the temperature distribution data obtained from the model. The other engineering problem to which the software model was applied was to find an acceptable set of parameters for the PID controller of the HVAC system. Using the simulation data and Ziegler-Nichols method could be set up a good controller and back-checked against the simulation data. The CHeTMoS software - which is under development - was used to solve both engineering problems. It has been demonstrated that the software can be applied to designs that are mostly solved on the basis of practice in the field during the control process. Similar proof procedures are required for nuclear industrial design, for which the CHeTMoS software is suitable.
