Measuring the Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives of Companies in Uttarakhand, India

The reputation of corporations is critical to their survival and growth. Internationally, the corporate world is going through a transition as organizations increasingly adopt strategies to incorporate more ethical and socially responsible behavior. CSR is a guide for making corporations socially responsible and fulfilling their moral obligations to the community surrounding their business operations and society in general. This research has been carried out within the framework of CSR, frequently referred to as a crucial movement, leading organizations to leave a positive societal change and not behaving merely as a profitable tool. Unquestionably, CSR plays an important role in sustainability, especially for developing nations, which will play major roles in global social development and their businesses. Therefore, organizations must participate in social and environmental initiatives and incorporate them into their strategic plans to accomplish sustainable growth and development. The objective of this study is to explore the CSR practices of the companies in Uttarakhand, mainly focusing on the community, employees, customers and suppliers, and the environment. We collected primary data from 146 companies by using a questionnaire to record their responses. We analyzed the data using SPSS statistics and SPSS Amos software, employing the SEM method.
