Cascaded H-Bridge 15 Level Inverter with Reduced Switch Count

The Multilevel inverter is commonly employed for the DC–AC adaptation for high-power applications, it attracts more problems and research interest. In a traditional multilevel converter, there are more levels as there are power switches. The effectiveness of this multi-level stepped output waveform is measured in Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and the quantity of power switches. For medium power applications, this study suggests a fifteen-level inverter with fewer power switches and simplified PWM generation. Each output voltage level in the proposed system uses fewer switches for conduction. The THD is minimal when using the modified PWM approach. Using MATLAB-Simulink the computer-based simulation model is developed.
