Control of a Parallel Robot Through Hand Movement Tracking and Gesture Recognition Employing OpenCV

This research is enhancement of previous work and introduces a approach to control a parallel robot through hand movement tracking and gesture recognition employing OpenCV in Python, coupled with a stereo camera arrangement. The aim is to create an intuitive, gesture-driven interface enabling precise and real-time control over the robot's movements. The proposed system first employs a stereo camera setup to capture depth information and extract 3D coordinates of the user's hand movements. OpenCV facilitates real-time image processing, allowing for robust hand tracking and gesture recognition. The research findings highlight the system's robustness in accurately translating hand gestures into precise commands for controlling the parallel robot, thereby enhancing user experience and interaction efficiency. The applicability of proposed method has been presented through experimental results.
