Beam Selection Using Direction Finding Method in RIS-Aided MmWave Communication Systems

This paper deals with RIS-aided communication systems, which is emerging technology for extending the communication range and covering shadow areas of communication systems in the millimeter wave frequency band. In this paper, we explain the considerations for operating RIS in actual mobile communication systems, and propose a beam management method for controlling the beams of base stations, RIS, and terminals.
