A Traffic Load Measurement Method for Mobile Communication Base Station

For mobile communication companies to optimize the number of base stations implemented, it is necessary to accurately measure the wireless traffic load of the currently implemented base station. In this paper, we propose a method for measuring the wireless traffic load of a base station using the reference terminal after configuring the reference terminal based on the statistical information from the smartphone app statistics server. We believe that according to our proposed method, it is possible to measure and compute the wireless traffic load of a base station more easily than the conventional method and it is also useful to forecast the future traffic load of a base station.
