Method Geometry Identification to Compute the Real Height and Width of Building

Accurately measuring the dimensions of buildings is a critical task in construction and surveying to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and in challenging fields such as computer vision, robotics, and industrial manufacturing. This paper introduces a novel solution that leverages advanced image processing techniques and three-dimensional geometric computation to estimate the actual dimensions of buildings. By utilizing an optimized YOLOv9 model for object detection and the Hough Transform algorithm to identify edges and vertices, we perform spatial geometric calculations on a fixed plane to achieve highly accurate measurements. Our method ensures precision, significantly reduces hardware costs, and simplifies processes compared to traditional stereo vision techniques. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvements in accuracy and efficiency, indicating that our model provides a robust and cost-effective approach to accurate building dimension estimation in practical applications.
