Electromagnetic Simulation of A Self-Excited Oscillation Fluxgate Current Sensor Based On ANSYS

Self-excited oscillation fluxgate current sensors are widely used for detecting DC leakage currents in photovoltaic (PV) inverters due to their high precision, stability and compact size. Since the performance of the fluxgate transducer is comprehensively influenced by the careful selection of the core and the circuit design, it is necessary to simulate the performance of the fluxgate transducer accurately and effectively. First, a magnetic circuit model is established and simulated using ANSYS Maxwell. Then a circuit simulation model is designed in Altium Designer. Finally, the magnetic circuit model is integrated with circuit simulation model in ANSYS Simplorer to establish an electromagnetic simulation model. Results show that the proposed electromagnetic simulation model can be used to calculate the linearlity error of the self-oscillating fluxgate transducer effectively.
