Mode-switching Control of Parallel Switched Linear Combination Envelope Tracking Power Supply

In this paper, the Parallel Switched Linear Combination (SLC) Envelope Tracking (ET) Power Supply is used as the basis to address the issue of inadequate power delivery in the switching structure and high losses in the linear amplifier when the load voltage swing is large, resulting in a decline in the overall efficiency of the system. A novel mode-switching control concept is proposed, with the switching section adopting a two-phase staggered parallel connection topology. Different control strategy modes are selected based on varying operating conditions; when the current rise rate of the switching unit is small, the two-phase staggered parallel average current control is chosen, and when the current rise rate of the switching unit is large, the current hysteresis loop control is selected, aiming to reduce steady-state error and enhance dynamic performance. Finally, simulations and verification of the single-switching structure SLC ET power supply, two-phase interleaved parallel structure SLC ET power supply, and mode-switching SLC ET power supply are conducted on the Simulink platform, respectively.
