Performance Analysis of Truncated Ground Antenna at THz Frequency for Oral Cancer Diagnosis

Early detection of oral cancer is vital for successful treatment and better patient recoveries. This study introduces a novel antenna design that operates at terahertz (THz) frequencies that is suitable for the cancer diagnostic applications. The unique properties of THz radiation allow for the deal for identifying malignant tissues. Through detailed simulations using the ANSYS HFSS Simulator, optimized the antenna's performance in terms of gain, bandwidth, and radiation pattern. A peak gain of 7.5 dBi is achieved for the Rectangular Microstrip Antenna with full ground (RMSA_FG) and 4.4 dBi for the Rectangular Microstrip Antenna with truncated ground (RMSA_TG). The operational bandwidths of of (RMSA_FG) and (RMSA_TG) are 9.6 GHz and 68.69 GHz respectively, showing notable improvements in bandwidth.
