A Filter Based Approach for Enhancing Audio Signal Clarity Using Simulink

Noise reducing filters play a significant role in signal processing aiming towards high performance quality. Additionally bandwidth conservation, high sensitivity can also be achieved by implementation of filters. In this paper, performance of various filters has been analysed for a monotonic audio speech input signal. Also, a graphic equalizer has been implemented and its response has been observed. Both theoretical evaluation and numerical simulation of filters has been done maintaining the same input sample frequency at its output. Based on the simulation results, it is evident that signal quality of an audio signal can be enhanced by implementing filters for various applications such as speech recognition. podcasting, music production and synthesis.
