Analysis of Parameters for Additive Manufacturing from Recycled HDPE Material

High-density polyethelene (HDPE) is one of the most widely used plastics due to its mechanical properties and high recyclability. However, its recycling rates remain low, leading to significant environmental issues. This research focuses on recycling HDPE to manufacture filaments used in 3D printing, thereby promoting the circular economy. The study details the materials, equipment, and extrusion process used for producing the recycled filament, as well as its application in 3D printing. The results demonstrate that the recycled HDPE filament maintains good mechanical properties and is feasible for use in additive manufacturing. However, issues such as adhesion problems and dimensional stability have been identified, requiring further optimization to enhance its recycling applications.
