A Performance Study on Rust and C Programs

Rust is a newly proposed programming language. The language is increasing its importance with its sophisticated features such as boundary checking function for array. In this paper, we investigate the performance of programs written in C language and Rust language. We then show that the performance of Rust is significantly lower in some cases. For the issue, we propose a method to alleviate this performance problem.
