Comparative Analysis of J. Martí and Universal Line Models for Pipeline Coupling Effects

This paper evaluates the J. Martí and Universal Line Model (ULM) for transient EMI responses between a transmission line and a pipeline. A simulation tool models frequency-dependent series impedance (Z) and shunt admittance (Y) using high-frequency EMI-specific formulas, with results compared to ATPDraw simulations. Findings indicate that accurate high-frequency induced voltages require these formulations and that the ULM model offers the best accuracy for representing EMI effects.
